Japanese Iced Tea Spoon Earrings – Amethyst Edition
I crafted these elegant earrings from the bowls of vintage Japanese iced tea spoons. Their smooth, curved shape creates a soft shimmer as they move. Each earring features six faceted amethyst beads, adding a rich violet glow that pairs beautifully with the polished silver.
I hand-forged each sterling silver hook for strength and comfort. The finished earrings measure 5cm from the top of the hook, giving them a graceful, elongated drop that frames the face with colour and light.
These earrings celebrate the beauty of reclaimed silver. I transform forgotten spoon pieces into wearable art, honouring their history while giving them a fresh new life. Each pair is one of a kind and made in my studio in the Adelaide Hills.
